    INSURANCE CLAIM

    Insurance coverage: the place of cargo-collecting and arrival (including the places for temporary storage during shipment); process of unloading and placing by our staff or agents. Nonconventional storage places are beyond insurance, except detailed information of place, equipment and estimated time of storage is available to insurance agent.
    Any revision of insurance clause after the reception of goods needs extra payment at least £100.
     
    All Risks Insurance(natural loses or damage) Coverage
    According to "Association Cargo Clause" (A) (such extra terms as war, strike, riot and the civil are according to "Association Clause" 1). The following goods are beyond compensation:
    loss or damage of Jewelry, Watches, Trinkets, Precious Stones, Precious Metals, Furs, Money, Deeds, Bonds, Securities and Stamps of all kinds, Manuscripts or other documents, Livestock, Wines, Spirits, Tobaccos, Plants, Foodstuffs or perishable goods of any kind.
    loss or damage caused by or arising from wear or tear, gradual deterioration, Moth, Insect or Vermin, Mildew and Rust or atmospheric or climatic conditions or extremes of temperature, or the leakage of liquid or powder from any receptacle or container.
    Indirect or any Consequential Loss of any kind or description.
    The loss of individual items packed by the Own in furniture, trunks, cases, boxes, cartons or any receptacles unless such items have been listed and their existence and value disclosed to the Company prior to commencement of the transit.
    Breakage, Scratching, Denting, Chipping, Staining and Tearing.
    Mechanical, electrical or medical derangement.
    Depreciation resultant upon repairs.
    Scratching, denting bruising or marking of furniture constructed of plastic coated composition or chipboard, or puncturing of synthetic upholstery and marking of "dralon" or similar upholstery unless caused as a direct result of an accident to the conveying vehicle.
    • There is a minimum charge for each and every claim £100.
       
    • In the event covered by this insurance being, at the time of loss, collectivity of greater value than the Sum Insured hereby, then the Insured shall be considered as his or her own Insurer for the difference, and shall bear a proportionate share of the loss.
       
    • If the claim hereunder be in any respect fraudulent or any fraudulent devices be used by e Insured or anyone acting upon his or her behalf or obtain any benefit under this Insurance, all benefits thereunder shall be forfeited.
       
    • Where any insured item consists of articles in a pair or a set, this Insurance is not to pay more than the value of any particular part or parts which may be lost or damaged without reference to any special value which such article or articles may have as a part of such pair or set, or more than a proportionate part of such pair or set.
       
    • The Insurers may, at any time after, take or keep possessions of the Insured property and deals with the salvage, and if the Insured or anyone acting on his behalf shall obstruct or prevent the Insurers from so doing, all benefits under this Insurance shall be forfeited. No property may be abandoned to the Insurance Company
    • All claims are subject to our conditions of carriage and some key points are:
    • All claims must be received within 30 days of despatch, with the exception of International Signed which must be submitted within 15 days of despatch.
    • To make a claim, you will need your parcel number and proof of dispatch. In addition, for a claim for loss and damage, you will need to provide proof of value.
    • For damage claims, the contents of the parcel and its original packaging must be available at the delivery address for our agents to inspect.
    • All claims must be made by the sender. If you are the recipient, please contact the sender to make the claim.
    • No compensation is available for items such as jewellery, antiques or items made of, or containing, glass.
    • Appeals against decisions on claims settlements must be made within 30 days of receipt of claim settlement letter, in writing, to the address shown on the claim settlement letter.
    • Where a claim for damage is settled in full the ownership of the goods & legal title to them will be transferred to DragonSea.
